“Root to Rise” Gentle Morning Yoga – 5 Class Series

A morning Hatha/Vinyasa practice to support your energy and intentions as you begin your day. This 5-week series offers a mindful Vinyasa flow to improve flexibility and strength, while blending breath with movement. Practitioners will receive personalized movement modifications to grow with ease. This series focuses on setting intentions for health and healing during the holiday season. In Savasana, you will be offered guided meditations, as well as crystals, for healing.

Instructor Bio: Wendy S. Gillman, M.S. | Career Coach/Counselor | 200 hour RYT Certified Yoga Instructor

As a Yoga Instructor, Wendy was trained in Thailand and experienced immersion into yoga through teacher training. This has led to Wendy’s desire to offer a gentle, meditative traditional Eastern approach. Wendy offers sequencing that is creative and readies the body for next steps cultivating “Sthira and Suka.” A balance between intent and stability, comfort, and ease.

Wendy is also a master’s level counselor with 20 years’ experience working in higher education as a Career Counselor and Coordinator, Academic Advisor, and Lead Success Coach. She is also a Certified Workforce Development Professional and a Certified RYT 200 Hour Yoga instructor. In her career work with others, she offers a mindful meditative approach to change, growth, and transitions while utilizing modern career strategies.

As an adjunct instructor, she designed and taught The Internship Seminar at Harrisburg Area Community College. Other college teaching experience spans 19 years and includes Career Research and Decision Making, College Success, First Year Seminar and Yoga.
