Children learn about leaves, galls, and discover who and what lives in leaves.
There are nearly 1,000 tree species in North America and many thousand more types of shrubs and plants. One way to tell different species apart is by looking at their leaves. Careful observation of plant parts other than the leaves is often necessary to determine species. Each class is held outdoors & designed for children to use their senses to figure things out. Designed for ages 5-12. We encourage each attending child to have appropriate applications of sunscreen and bug repellent applied before arriving. Closed toe shoes are encouraged.
