From a range of experiences and emotions with our families, friends, spouses, partners, and significant others, along with co-workers and bosses -and even the dog who greets us at the door, everything counts.
Emotional connection is attached to all those whom we encounter or have a connection to. She believes we can thrive, regardless of setbacks or circumstances. She embraces this wonderful, wacky, crazy, and sometimes challenging journey we are all on, called life.
Ms. Gerson has 4 adult children, 11 grandchildren, and both her beloved dog and precious cat are all part of her wellness plan.
From nature, to reading, add a splash of self -care, she shares one secret she recently learned in this past year about letting go of things that don’t serve your ‘emotional health’. She says one good reminder is “Don’t Stay Long Where You Don’t Belong”.
Ms. Gerson studied law, was a successful real estate broker, and feels her adventures first began when she began taking celebrity photos, while working at a Christian radio station.
Lauren’s life reminds her of the Dr. Seuss book, Oh, the Places You’ll Go.
Some of her best adventures she recalls were with her grown children including a cattle ride in Puerto Vallarta with her youngest daughter. “We thought we were really rugged ranch-hands, in our cowgirl boots and cowgirl hats”. she laughed. “With the wind in our hair and a whole lot of dirt covering our faces from the cattle stampede just up ahead; adding, “It was beyond fun”
She recalls one adventure where she took her oldest daughter to Playa Del Carmen while they swam with giant sea turtles and rode wild horses straight into the ocean and sat on their backs while they swam in the sea.
Then when her son (youngest adventurer) was 16, her travels took her to London, Scotland, and Ireland. Together, they stood in a church built over 1000 years ago, and just wept. (A good emotion for sure).
Traveling is something Lauren believes broadens your horizons, and if you can’t travel far, she recommends that you drive right over to the next town over. Enjoy the nearest beach or mountains and visit a new place you have never been to before. Exploring is a great way to re-charge your batteries and balance your emotions.
