Joseph Zappy, DC
Chiropractic
Dr. Zappy earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a focus in Biology at Neumann University in 2010. He then went on to Graduate School to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic medicine (DC) from New York Chiropractic College (NYCC) in 2013. While at NYCC, Dr. Zappy also obtained a Master’s Degree in Applied Clinical Nutrition (MSACN).
While attending school at NYCC, Dr. Zappy became president of the Sports Science and Human Performance club (SSHP), leading representative for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (F4CP), and with the help of former Los Angeles Clippers Chiropractor (’06-’09) and Arizona Diamondbacks Consultant, Dr. Craig Liebenson, started a program at NYCC called Rehab to Performance (R2P). R2P is now in every Chiropractic school in the US, Canada, and in most Physical Therapy Schools.
With a passion for teaching and changing the medical industry, Dr. Zappy, with the help of his mother and mentor, Robyn Zappy, opened The Wellness Institute of Chester County; a Massage Therapy School. The purpose of the school is to share Dr. Zappy’s wealth of knowledge within the massage industry and illustrate to our students the impact they can make in people’s lives through the use of Massage Therapy.
The Massage Therapy Program at The Wellness Institute is a program built to teach students many of the techniques and assessment methods Dr. Zappy has studied including fascial release, functional movement assessments, rehabilitative exercises, neuromuscular re-education techniques, performance enhancement strategies, and biomechanical evaluations. The R2P program helps bridge the gap from rehabilitation to performance training for athletes.
With a passion for community growth and career education, Dr. Zappy is inviting you to join a Health and Medical Career Education Massage Therapy School licensed by Pennsylvania; The Wellness Institute of Chester County. We are currently enrolling students in our Massage Therapy Program designed to teach the benefits of Massage from a Medical and Therapeutic perspective.
