Small changes make big differences. Universal Athletic Club is located in Lancaster PA and is a popular fitness center currently leading the pack.
Keeping things fresh and current is what the UAC represents in the community. “I was completely surprised and excited when I went on to the new Universal Athletic club website”, said Lynn Masters of Lancaster. “I saw this incredible new format that was very user-friendly”, she shared.
Universal Athletic Club has not only been a community treasure, but it is also one of the Nation’s top-rated fitness facilities. Recently, when UAC updated its website they showcased its programs and schedules with a brand-new fresh look and feel. Plus, that’s not the only thing they’re changing. The website showcases a variety of programs and membership options with information on all of their offerings. “Definitely check out the pool”, Masters said, ‘the perfect place to cool down this summer’. Along with the new look and feel, navigating the classes and programs is quite simple. The site has some great information on it, including tips on how to get started on your health journey and stay motivated. They shared the challenges and obstacles many of us face to get started towards a healthier lifestyle.
Finding Time And Forming A New Habit
For many, the biggest fitness obstacle is our lack of time to exercise. There are so many events that occur in our day-to-day lives that are out of our control. Universal shares they can offer solutions for you no matter how little time you have. There is no magic number for how long a workout should last. Check out 7 steps and what information UAC Recommends.
Step One. To form a new habit, make health a priority and schedule your workout on your calendar each week. Start slow and build.
Step Two: Don’t miss your scheduled workout. When you don’t want to exercise remember what it is that is motivating you to exercise, (better health, losing weight, a special life event?)
Step Three: Do it for you, and if you are short on time, or only have 30 minutes, head to the circuit room, plug in your earbuds, and work through the 11 easy-to-follow exercise machines. This full-body circuit is designed to maximize your workout on a tight schedule.
Step Four: Hop on one of their many cardio machines, and watch your favorite show while you exercise! Or try a 30-minute TBS class, where you’ll get a series of efficient and effective body-sculpting exercises led by a nationally certified personal trainer.
Step Five: Find a workout buddy or plan on going to a regularly scheduled group fitness class, where you need to be on time!
Step Six: If you feel like there are too many time constraints in your day, and can’t make it to the club, you can jump on to one of their live-streamed group fitness classes using the Universal Fitness Training app so that you can keep working toward your goals.
Step Seven: Last, but not least, if you need more accountability – consider signing up for one of their personal training programs.
Lack Of Knowledge
UAC shares that when you don’t know what to do or where to start to meet your fitness goals, there is plenty of staff to get you started. The process at UAC is easy. Scan your membership card at the front desk and a knowledgeable Fitness Concierge will help you develop a customized fitness plan to meet your unique needs and fitness goals. We are invested in helping you overcome all of your fitness
obstacles.
If you need more accountability and an individualized or small group environment, the Certified Personal Training Staff can help you meet your goals. Check out one of their Les Mills Group Fitness classes, where you follow along with a certified instructor and get a great workout designed by professionals to get you the best workout.
Lack Of Motivation
Another fitness obstacle is that you lack the motivation to start a fitness plan. Embracing a welcoming environment, and having plenty of options in a caring friendly club is a great place to start your fitness journey. They shared that they will provide you with lots of ideas to keep your motivation going!
When you go to take a tour, be sure to visit the beautiful Aquatics Center where you can swim laps, tread water or do whatever feels good. When you need to be re-energized try one of their Mind/Body classes for an hour of healing, meditation, and self-reflection.
Getting started is the first step to staying motivated and it will keep you coming back for more. Check out the UAC programs posted on the site. You can visit them at universalathleticclub.com
