A hidden Gem where variety and food prices, remain intact. Roots Country Market and Auction is one of the most surprising indoor and outdoor local farmer’s markets in Lancaster, County This hidden gem is located at 705 Graystone Road in Manheim, PA.

Locals spend their Tuesdays perusing a variety of fruit stands and displays that showcase fresh strawberries, blueberries, grapes, oranges, apples, lemons, and limes. The bright colors are inviting- and the selections of fresh fruits, along with the ease of shopping and fair pricing, are keeping things both fun and festive. 

When you see the array of vegetable vendors, most displaying green lettuce, kale, broccoli, asparagus, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, and a selection of the foods we love,  this Mannheim treasure has best described as a fresh food oasis. 

The Roots Market appears to be one place the economy has not yet cast its dark shadow — and the food supply is still good with everything needed to make for a fun day of shopping. 

Vendors display meats, cheeses, and specialty chocolates, with a local favorite being the peanut butter cups. Fresh produce, fresh flowers, and rows and rows of fresh food make this one of the area’s best-kept secrets. The market has a variety of everything from baked goods and sandwiches, to ice cream, and beef jerky. 

Locals enjoy the poultry and produce auction.
