Chambersburg Plastic Surgeon Joins UPMC

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (January 4, 2023) — Peter Wallick, M.D., a plastic surgeon who specializes in hand and wrist surgery, has joined the UPMC provider network effective Friday, Dec. 30. The practice, now known as UPMC Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Chambersburg, is located at 2000 Scotland Avenue, Chambersburg, Pa.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Dr. Wallick to the UPMC provider network,” said Lou Baverso, president, UPMC in Central Pa. “Dr. Wallick was born and raised in our region and has been practicing in the Chambersburg community for more than 30 years. The relationship he has built with his community and his patients is second to none, and we’re happy to have his practice complement the growing number of services that UPMC has in the Chambersburg market.”

Dr. Wallick is board-certified in plastic surgery with a certificate of additional qualification in hand surgery. He specializes in melanoma and other skin cancer surgery and reconstruction, laser surgery for vascular or pigmented skin lesions, breast reconstruction, rhinoplasty, tendon and nerve repairs, fractures of the hand and wrist, tumors of the hand and wrist and surgery for arthritis of the hand, wrist, and fingers.

Dr. Wallick received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, completed his general surgery residency at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, and a plastic surgery residency and hand surgery fellowship at Strong Memorial Hospital – University of Rochester in Rochester, NY.

“Patients will continue to receive individual and compassionate care at my practice,” said Dr. Wallick. “As part of the UPMC provider network, I look forward to providing my patients additional services through advanced technology, increased comprehensive care for chronic and acute illnesses, additional specialists, and access to health education and programs.”

UPMC Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Chambersburg is open Monday through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.  Previously scheduled appointments will remain the same.
