When Cops, Coffee and Community Gather in Lampeter Township- Locals get Connected

West Lampeter Township residents were treated to a neighborhood meet and greet, enjoying coffee and pastries at the Coffee, Cops, and Community Event.

This event was a wonderful opportunity to sit down and speak to some of the West Lampeter Township officers.

It was sponsored by The Friends of the Force and was held at The Livery on 1702 Lampeter Rd.

After attending the event, “I left feeling like this was the friendliest and most caring (not to mention good-humored) police department I had encountered”, said a local resident. “I would not hesitate to stop in and speak to anyone here at any time”.

The biggest surprise was getting acquainted with Chief Ziczkowsil, who had us laughing with his good humor and authentic story-telling skills. That was quite enjoyable.

At the event, Lancaster Health News learned quite about the incredible donations that are made possible by ‘The Friends of the Force’. With the funds raised,  this notable organization is able to provide equipment ranging from radios and vests, to CPR masks for both children and adults. The donation received ensures officers’ cars are equipped with everything from cameras to tasers. This is one non-profit group worth standing behind.

Officer Jeremy Schroeder, who has served on the force since 2001 said “I have been with the West Lampeter force for 21 years and I love it here”. Schroeder shared, “There is a real sense of community here that you can count on.”

If you missed this event, don’t worry, they have ongoing opportunities for you to connect with the Lampeter officers and one is coming up this August.

Check out NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2022.
